Guest Post – Your Meatless Steak: Tempeh

Tempeh is a soy based, low fat, vegetarian protein source that has almost the equivalent amount of protein as its meat alternative. A 4 oz serving of tempeh contains 21 grams of protein, equivalent to a 3 oz serving of steak.

Tempeh is not only a cleaner source of protein, it also does not contain animal fat that can lead to cardiovascular ailments when taken in excess.
